Outgoing finance minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, has denied receiving a draft FINSAC report from the Commission of Enquiry.
Former People’s National Party general secretary, Colin Campbell, made the claim in an interview with Nationwide News last Wednesday.
According to Mr. Campbell, the report is a draft copy lacking key findings, analysis, conclusions, recommendations, and forensic audits.
But Dr. Clarke says this is not true.
The FINSAC archives were published on October 17.
It was a promise made by the government to provide an opportunity for members of the public to access valuable insights surrounding the circumstances of the country’s near financial collapse in the 1990s.
Mr. Campbell also questioned the effectiveness of the report when chunks of information were redacted.
But Dr. Clarke sought to explain that the approach was a recommendation from a technical committee of the finance ministry.
