Jamaica suffered a 3-1 defeat to defending champions the United States in extra time in their Concacaf Nations League semifinal encounter at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, Thursday night.
Greg Leigh shot the Reggae Boyz in front after only a minute in the game.
However, the Americans grabbed the equaliser with less than a minute to go when the Jamaica striker Cory Burke headed into his own net with the very last touch sending the game into extra time.
Substitute Haji Wright then stepped up with goals in the 96th and the 109th minutes to knock Jamaica put of title contention.
The Jamaicans will remain in Texas to contest Sunday’s third place game against Panama, who were beaten 3-0 by México in the other semifinal.
