Nationwide News understands that the Integrity Commission has recommended that charges be laid on former Member of Parliament and PNP candidate for Central Westmoreland, Dwayne Vaz.
A report tabled in the House of Representatives a short while ago has disclosed that the Commission’s Director of Corruption Prosecution has recommended that Vaz be charged.
He’s being accused of failure to provide information requested by the Commission’s Director of Information Complaints in contravention of the Integrity Commission Act.
Vaz is accused of breaching Section 43(1)b of the Act.
The matter concerning Vaz relates to his 2019 statutory declarations.
Vaz served as Member of Parliament for Central Westmoreland between 2014 and 2020.
Vaz is the PNP’s caretaker in Central Westmoreland.
