Councillor for the Siloah division in St. Elizabeth, Audie Myers, is appealing for patience, following a protest on Thursday by residents demanding the rehabilitation of the Raheem main road.
The road was damaged during the passage of Tropical Storm Rafael.
Residents took to the streets from as early as 5 am on Thursday, mounting several road blocks. The road blocks were eventually cleared by the police.
Councillor Myers says a preliminary assessment of the damage to the road has already been done.
