Councillor for the Braes River division in North East St Elizabeth, the People’s National Party’s, PNP, Donovan Pagon, says he’s frustrated with the delay in rolling out the multi-billion dollar road rehabilitation SPARK programme.
Councillor Pagon voiced his concern at Thursday’s sitting of the monthly meeting of the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation.
The SPARK programme, which is set to significantly enhance the country’s road infrastructure, was originally due to begin in October.
But speaking at a recent sitting in Parliament, Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the start date has been rescheduled to December.
Meanwhile, Mr. Pagon also raised concerns about what he says is the absence of care packages for affected residents after the passage of Hurricane Beryl four months ago.
