Floyd Green Urges Dr Dayton Campbell to Engage Him Directly on Sector Issues

Agriculture Minister Floyd Green is encouraging Opposition spokesperson on agriculture, Dr. Dayton Campbell, to engage him directly about issues in the sector.

The minister’s statement is in response to Dr. Campbell’s call for him to address a disease affecting yam crops in Jamaica.

Speaking on Nationwide This Morning on Monday, Minister Green says it’s obvious to him that his opposition counterpart has not been keeping up to date with the situation regarding yam cultivation in the country.

The agriculture minister says Dr. Campbell must be aware of how his words can affect the sector locally and internationally.

He’s urging Dr. Campbell to regularly check the ministry’s releases in order to be aware of what is being done to mitigate problems.
