Former deputy chief executive officer for Broadcast and Content Strategy at RJR/GLEANER Communications Group, Dr Claire Grant, has bid farewell to the staff of the media conglomerate.
Dr. Grant was also general manager of Television Jamaica.
In a short post on X on Wednesday morning, she expressed gratitude to the staff and said she tried her best to address their needs.
She wrote, “I am no longer TVJGM or DCEO for the RJRGLEANER Communications Group. You all would send me ideas and challenges and I would have tried my best to see to your needs.”
Radio Jamaica Limited, the parent company in the RJR/GLEANER Communications Group, announced on Tuesday that it made the roles of deputy chief executive officer and chief people officer redundant. The chief people officer was Tanya Smith-Anderson.
Radio Jamaica says the position of deputy chief executive officer for Print and Digital Strategy has been vacant since January and will also be eliminated going forward.
It says the changes are designed to flatten the organisational structure and bring the organisation closer to its audiences and advertisers, while cutting costs.
