The young professional affiliate of the JLP, Generation 2000 or G2K, is refuting as vulgar and false, suggestions about preferential treatment given to Health Minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton following a recent motor vehicle crash.
This is the comment from the Opposition Spokesperson on Information, Nekeisha Burchell, which has upset G2K.
Nekeisha Burchell, Opposition Spokesperson on Information.
She was speaking on Sunday at a PNP Divisional meeting in Knockpatrick, Manchester.
G2K president, Shayne Kerr, says it’s unbecoming, disgraceful and vulgar of Miss Burchell to attempt to exploit Minister Tufton’s injuries for political mileage.
According to Kerr, at least three high profile members of the PNP recently interacted with the healthcare system and were treated with decency by members of the governing JLP.
The G2K president says the JLP is of the view that an individual’s health status should not he exploited for political gain.
Additionally, Kerr says the government has demonstrated its sensitivity to the need for more beds across the healthcare system and has made major and unprecedented investment to expand, rehabilitate and build new facilities to achieve the objective.
