Gov’t Attempting to Steal Election With Portmore Parish Push – Campbell

PNP General Secretary, Dr. Dayton Campbell, has accused the Holness administration of attempting to steal an election in its push to make Portmore the 15th parish.

Dr. Campbell has vowed comrades will take to the streets and resist the move.

Last week, the government passed a bill to turn Portmore into the country’s 15th parish.

If passed in the Senate, the bill will see the dormitory community separated from St. Catherine.

The PNP has strongly condemned the move, declaring it gerrymandering.

According to Dr. Campbell, the JLP is attempting to sure up MP For East Central St. Catherine, Alando Terrelonge.
