The government senate caucus is expressing full support for Prime Minister Andrew Holness, saying it has confidence in his integrity.
The caucus issued a joint statement on Thursday.
It notes that despite a prolonged investigation, which involved the hiring of an International Forensic Accountant, the Integrity Commission did not conclude that the Prime Minister acted unlawfully or unethically.
The senate caucus says it’s fully confident in Andrew Holness’ integrity and his continued distinguished stewardship of Jamaica.
Additionally, the caucus says it’s strongly rejecting what it describes as the dangerous, partisan, misleading and desperate coordinated attacks on the Prime Minister from the Opposition and their surrogates in sections of civil society and on social media.
