Outgoing CEO of Cricket West Indies, CWI, johnny Grave, says it’s been an honour serving as CEO of the sport’s regional governing body.
Grave was appointed to the position in February 2017 and will leave office at the end of October
He says the job is a massive responsibility to the fantastic history and legacy of the organisation.
Grave says navigating Covid-19 was the most difficult part of the job.
Grave had assumed the position vacated by Michael Muirhead.
During his time at the helm, Grave oversaw three World Cups hosted in the West Indies – the 2018 women’s T20 World Cup, the 2022 Under-19 World Cup and the 2024 men’s T20 World Cup co-hosted with the USA.
He was also the T20 World Cup CEO for the event in June this year.
Grave says he has received tremendous support from so many people since becoming CEO.
