Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, leader, Dr. Andrew Holness, says steps are being taken to ensure that all the party’s elected representatives are equipped with the tools to meet the demands of those they represent.
Dr. Holness was speaking on Sunday at a JLP conference in North West St. Ann.
Mahiri Stewart has that story.
The JLP leader and prime minister says his party has already had serious conversations with those members of parliament, MPs, against whom a series of complaints have been lodged by constituents regarding poor representation.
Dr. Holness did not identify any of those MPs, neither did he state the nature of the complaints.
Dr. Holness says the governing party is aware of high levels of frustration among party workers and supporters. He says the party is listening and is ready to make the requisite improvements.
He warned JLP supporters to keep all grievances inside the party.
