The Inter-American Development Bank has applauded Jamaica for its participation in the latest Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey, MICS.
According to the IDB, Jamaica has acted in advance of other countries in the region.
The survey presents data on the well-being of children and women with a view to helping shape policies for the improvement of their lives.
The IDB Country Manager in Jamaica is Anton Edwards.
The Jamaica MICS was carried out in 2022 by the Planning Institute of Jamaica, in collaboration with UNICEF, IDB, and the Statistical Institute of Jamaica, as part of the Global MICS Programme.
It allows countries to track national development plans and monitor progress towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
