Jamaica’s point to point inflation rate continues to fall!
According to data from the Statistical Institute of Jamaica, STATIN, point to point inflation for the month of February fell to 4.4 percent.
That’s down from 4.7 percent compared to the month of January.
This means inflation has remained firmly anchored within the Bank of Jamaica’s target range of four to six percent for the sixth month in a row.
The rate was mainly influenced by the rate for the divisions Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, ‘Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas, and Other Fuels,’ and ‘Restaurants and Accommodation Services.
