Investment Minister Welcomes Berger Plans to Build New Plant

Investment, Industry and Commerce Minister, Senator Aubyn Hill, has hailed Berger Paints Jamaica Limited’s newest investment in the country.

The company has invested JM$130 million to build a modern manufacturing facility. The new plant was unveiled on Wednesday.

Minister Hill says investments are among the driving forces in the country’s economic growth.

Berger’s expansion is aimed at doubling the company’s trowel on production capacity.

The plant will facilitate the company’s innovation agenda and launch of new products, including roof compounds, joint compounds, and ready-to-use crack fillers.

Berger Paints Jamaica has been in business for over 72-years.

Ninety five per cent of its products are manufactured locally and more than 30 per cent of the company’s suppliers being local businesses.
