For 2025, dancehall reggae fusion duo Voicemail is stepping up their game, especially with hits from their latest mixtape, Skank Tape Volume 2. Kevyn V and Qraig revealed that they’ve been working on something big, so anyone expecting a quiet year from them should think again. The Nuh Behavior duo, known for their energetic dance anthems and feel-good vibes, is bringing even more skanking, dancing, and fun into the new year.

“Well, we have a mixtape that we’ve been promoting called Skank Tape Volume 2. We’ve been promoting since last October and we have a couple singles off of it that are doing extremely well,” Kevyn V shared with The Gleaner.

For fans who have been waiting for new material, this is the year, he added. Voicemail has several shows planned to reconnect with their global fan base, as they have renewed their United States permits and are ready to take on shows in that region.

“We took 2024 to lock in the studio, stayed in Jamaica, did a lot of recording and prepared for 2025. Now, 2025 is the year we unleash everything,” said the duo.

Dancers have something to look forward to – Skank Tape Volume 2 brings back the classic Voicemail energy that made tracks like Wacky Dip and Get Crazy so infectious.

“That’s why it name Skank Tape,” Qraig said before laughing. “It’s a whole tape of just dance songs for both our male and female audience. We have one called Gwani Gwani, weh a gwan right now. Then you have Uptown, Jamrock, and even a special dance song for the ladies called Copycat.”

“And, we have more. We have Champion and also Hold Tight, and a lot more singles on the way. People been asking ‘Wah gwaan fi Voicemail? Nuttn new?’ This year, dem ago see and hear everything,” Qraig said.

Their resolution for 2025 is to maintain consistency and have fun.

“People love that good, clean, fun dancehall music. A lot of that is going to be injected this year, for sure. So stay tuned for more music and more energy,” Kevyn V emphasised.

After all of this enthusiasm, the topic of current industry talk came up, with the cancellation of Spice’s ‘Ohhhh No’ school tour.

Qraig had a lot to say. “To be honest with you, this is my personal opinion, I don’t see how you can refuse knowledge, regardless of who’s sharing it. Spice is an amazing artiste and a great mother, and that alone speaks volumes. We don’t have time to be going into the schools to do anything derogatory or stupid. We ago share knowledge, and one of the ways to get to the youths them now is use the tool that they love, music. But I don’t think what they are doing to her is fair, in my opinion. I would love for her to do her school tour.”

Kevyn V remained straight-forward when questioned about the Spice controversy.

“Mi nuh even know wah gwan, mi been off social media! If you never have mi direct number, you wouldn’t even find mi,” he said.
