THE AC Hotel came alive with energy and excitement on Saturday, as Jamaica’s top bodybuilders and fitness competitors vied for supremacy at the JABBFA National Senior Championships.
Sponsored by Mayberry Investments, the event was a spectacular showcase of strength, skill, and sportsmanship, marking another successful year in the growth of the country’s fitness industry.
In the Bikini Fitness Masters category, Nicole Lewis stood out, taking first place, while Oberlene Smith-Whyte was second.
The Bodybuilding Masters division witnessed a fierce competition, with Andrew Chisolm emerging as the champion, followed by Rupert Johnson. Cecil Beacon was third, Johnie McCarthy in fourth, and Trevor Bent rounding out the top five.
The Classic Bodybuilding category was led by Kymani Kirby, who dominated his division to take first place, ahead of Wendell Martin in second, and Matthew Donville in third.
In the Women’s Physique division, Ashane Gordon-Morrison claimed victory, with Laycola Newman and Kesonya Gopie finishing second and third, respectively.
The Men’s Physique Muscular competition was another highlight of the night, with Dwayne Leslie taking home the gold, followed closely by Matthew Westcarr in second and Ranny Taylor in third.
In the Women’s Body Fitness category, Ashane Gordon-Newman proved her dominance, taking first place with Laycola Newman in second and Nicole Lewis in third.
In the Bikini Wellness category, Bryana Johnson dominated the stage, with Iesha Crooks and Raeshida Bignall securing second- and third-place finishes, respectively.
The Bodybuilding Lightweight division was topped by Steve Rogers with Monique Wright in second and Trevor Bent in third.
The night’s most prestigious titles went to Nicolas Wilson, crowned Bodybuilding Overall Champion, and Dianne Brown, who claimed the Bikini Fitness Overall Champion title.
