The Jamaica Paralympic Association, JPA, had the re-dedication ceremony of the Paralympic Flame at the Norman Manley International Air Port, Monday morning.

This re-dedication is a petal that the JPA received from the flame at the London Paralympic Games in 2012.

Jamaica received the first of 176 petals distributed to countries that participated in those Summer Games.

Monday is being celebrated as Paralympic Day and president of the local governing body, Christopher Samuda, says he felt it was the right time to re-dedicate the flame.
