Jamaica will be represented on the deck and in the pool at the Carifta Swimming Championships in the Bahamas, from March 28 to April 7.
Jamaica’s Joseph Reynolds will serve as a deck referee, while the Aquatic Sports Association of Jamaica, ASAJ, certified a 26-member team to represent the country at the championships.
It will cost $13 million for the swimmers to get to the Bahamas and compete.
Reynolds says there’s still a big gap in the budget.
Reynolds is calling for corporate Jamaica to be more supportive of swimming.
