Jamaica Scorpions Take First Inning lead in Regional Four Day Game

The Jamaica Scorpions reached 326 for 7 at the end of play on day two of their regional four day game against the West Indies Academy at Sabina Park.

The Scorpions who resumed on 20 without loss this morning, now have a 2 run lead with Pete Salmon not out on 60 and Derval Green unbeaten on 25

Captain Brandon King has so far led the batting with 77, Leroy Lugg weighed in with 64, Carlos Brown 33 and Kirk McKenzie 29…former skipper Jermaine Blackwood went for a duck.

Joshua Bishop has so far taken 3 wickets with Kadeem Alleyne bagging two.

At the Queen’s Park Oval, host Trinidad and Tobago Red Force continues to dominate league leaders the Windward Islands Volcanoes.

After taking a 103 run first innings lead, the Red Force had the Volcanoes on 68 for 2, still 35 runs behind.

Tion Webster starred for the Red Force in their first innings 294 after he slammed 107 with 13 fours and 2 sixes.

Jason Mohammed chipped in with 56 against Kenneth Dember 5 for 31 and Shamar Springer 3 for 76.

At Coolidge, champions Guyana Harpy Eagles moved their overnight 231 for 5 to 436 all out against Barbados Pride.

Verasammy Permaul was left not out on 90 to go along with Kevin Anderson 87, Tevin Imlach 55, Tagernarine Chanderpaul 40 and Kevin Sinclair 72.

At close the Pride in response reached 59 for 3, still 377 runs behind.

While at the Sir Frank Worrell Memorial Ground the Leeward Islands Hurricanes were bowled out for 259 in reply to 273 all out by the Combined Campuses and Colleges.

CCC batting a second time closed on 76 for 3, an overall lead of 90 runs.
