JLP Says PNP’s Conference Much Hype and Little Substance

Much hype and little substance.

That’s how Parliamentary Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Senator Abka Fitz-Henley, is reacting to events at the PNP’s annual conference and the presentation of the party’s president, Mark Golding.

Senator Fitz-Henley claims the announcements made by Mr. Golding are things the Holness-administration is currently doing.

One of the programmes announced by Mr. Golding on Sunday was the PORTIA initiative. It’s set to improve infrastructure in old housing schemes, remove zinc fences and issue land titles.

But, Senator Fitz-Henley says what the initiative is proposing to do is already being done.

Meanwhile, Senator Fitz-Henley says the PORTIA initiative is a naked attempt by the opposition to use the name of the former prime minister to gain traction.
