JOA to Invest in $5m Boxing Gym

The Jamaica Olympic Association, JOA, is in the ring and if it has its way in LA, Jamaican boxers will be punching above their weight.

The JOA will be investing in a 5-million dollars gym which will become the stomping and training ground for the LA Olympic squad of boxing aspirants and their coaches.

President of the Jamaica Boxing Association, Stephen Jones, says the JOA’s support is nothing short of game-changing for the sport of boxing in Jamaica.

Jones says this investment will breathe new life into the national gym, provide critical backing for the national Olympic squad, and significantly enhance the capacity and quality of national coaches.

JOA secretary general and chief executive, Ryan Foster, says “It’s simply a demonstration of JOA’s unwavering commitment to sport development and sporting excellence.”
