JSE COMBINED MARKET SUMMARY

In Wednesday’s trading session, the following reflects the movement of the JSE indices:

• The JSE Combined Index declined by 1,047.70 points (0.32 %) to close at 324,658.31 points and the volume traded amounted to 32,777,492 valued at $110,427,806.90.

• The JSE Index declined by 1,303.18 points (0.41 %) to close at 313,640.97 points and the volume traded amounted to 26,127,630 valued at $99,012,198.19.

• The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 1,084.28 points (0.30 %) to close at 361,298.39 points and the volume traded amounted to 26,108,836 valued at $98,115,671.63.

• The JSE Select Index declined by 74.38 points (0.98 %) to close at 7,537.94 points and the volume traded amounted to 635,070 valued at $13,166,813.63.

• The JSE Cross Listed Index declined by 1.11 points (2.32 %) to close at 46.81 points and the volume traded amounted to 6,592 valued at $854,618.65.

• The Junior Market Index advanced by 25.62 points (0.75 %) to close at 3,449.22 points and the volume traded amounted to 6,649,966 valued at $11,415,608.71.

• The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 2.88 points (1.26 %) to close at 225.89 points and the volume traded amounted to 631,494 valued at $47,374.23.

• The JSE Financial Index declined by 0.37 points (0.57 %) to close at 64.62 points and the volume traded amounted to 435,634 valued at $6,093,820.22.

• The JSE Manufacturing & Distribution Index declined by 0.75 points ( 0.71 %) to close at 104.62 points and the volume traded amounted to 4,425,759 valued at $27,639,194.03.

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 106 stocks of which 35 advanced, 48 declined and 23 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 32,777,699 units valued at over $110,427,806.90.

The following companies represent the overall volume leaders: TRANSJAMAICAN HIGHWAY LIMITED with 18,324,033 units (54.85%); WIGTON ENERGY LIMITED with 3,915,557 units (11.72%); and EDUFOCAL LIMITED with 1,749,331 units (5.24%).
