⁠JSE Meets With President Ali to Discuss Collaboration With Guyana

The Jamaica Stock Exchange, JSE, says it met with Guyana’s president Dr Irfaan Ali on Tuesday as it sought to explore collaboration opportunities.

The JSE says the meeting happened at the Office of the President on Shiv Chanderpaul Drive.

The team was led by the Managing Director of the JSE, Dr Marlene Street Forrest, and its Marketing and Communications Director, Neville Ellis.

It says discussions focused on exploring collaboration opportunities aimed at advancing Guyana’s financial architecture.

Senior Minister within the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance and Public Service, Dr Ashni Singh; Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Oneidge Walrond and Director of Presidential Affairs, Marcia Nadir-Sharma were also part of the meeting.

The JSE is set to host its second staging of its flagship Conference in the Co-operative Republic of Guyana from October 8 to 9, at the Pegasus Suites & Corporate Centre in Georgetown, Guyana.

The theme of this year’s Conference is ‘Financing for Success: Where Passion, Prosperity and People Align’.
