More Honours for Julien Alfred to Be Revealed on Sept. 27

St. Lucia’s Minister of Sports, Kenson Casimir, says the government will announce what additional honour they will bestow on Olympic Champion Julien Alfred during a concert at Daren Sammy stadium, on September 27.

On Monday, Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre declared September 27 Julien Alfred Day.

Alfred won the Caribbean island nation’s first Olympic medals in any sport, taking 100 metres gold and 200 metres silver in Paris.

Casimir says the people of St. Lucia played a big role in deciding how to honour their hero.
