World and Olympic gold medallist, Omar McLeod, believes the Michael Johnson-created Grand Slam Track has the potential to redefine the global order in world athletics.
McLeod was a late replacement for fellow Jamaican Hansle Parchment.
McLeod pocketed US$30,000 or approximately JM$4.7 million after finishing sixth in both the men’s 100-metres and 110-metres hurdles at the first leg of the series.
He says the Grand Slam Track is making the athletes the stars of the show.
However, he believes the organisers may have to revisit the schedule of the meet.

The second leg is set for Miami, from May 2-4.
