In a performance which could be described as patient and deliberate, the Reggae Boyz edged Central American opponents Nicaragua 2-0 in CONCACAF Nations League A, Group B, action at the Nicaragua National Football Stadium on Thursday.
An own goal from Josué Quijano in the 32nd minute of play and a close-ranged finish from Romario Williams in the 69th minute proved the difference for the Boyz on the night.
The win sees Jamaica remain atop the group with seven points ahead of Honduras in second with six and Nicaragua in third on four.
The Boyz's next assignment will be a home fixture against Honduras at the National Stadium on Monday.
