The Opposition People’s National Party, PNP, is expressing condolences to the family of Leroy Smith, who passed away at the Sangster Airport on Friday, September 6.

Smith came to visit his family and was heading back home when he collapsed at the baggage counter in the airport and later died.

Opposition spokesperson on Health and Wellness, Dr Alfred Dawes, says it is unfortunate that blame is being shifted away from the Ministry of Health.

Dawes has highlighted that there has been misleading statements about the number of ambulances that are available at Cornwall Regional Hospital.

He is also questioning why the government failed to provide medical services through the hospital or the fire brigade emergency response team.
