Portmore Eyes Regional Qualification Following Cavalier Win

Forward Alex Marshall scored the winning goal against his former club in Portmore United’s 1-0 win over Cavalier at the Anthony Spaulding Complex, on Monday.

Marshall’s 34th minute strike moved Portmore up to second in the standing on goal difference over Arnett Gardens and Cavalier.

Speaking on Sportsmax, Marshall says qualifying for the Caribbean Football Union, CFU Championships is their top priority.

Meanwhile, Cavalier have picked up just five points from a possible 15 from their last five games, but coach Rudolph Speid believes their poor form is the result of bad refereeing.

Meanwhile, double strikes from Chevany Willis and captain Fabian Reid fired Arnett Gardens to a crushing 5-1 win over Humble Lion.

Jaheim Thomas was the other scorer for Arnett who are now up to third in the standings.
