The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, PSOJ, has announced Don Wehby, former government senator and Group chief executive officer of GraceKennedy, as the 31st inductee into its prestigious Hall of Fame.
In a statement on Wednesday, the PSOJ said the honour celebrates Wehby’s remarkable contributions to Jamaica’s private sector and to nation building.
It says as a dynamic leader, Wehby is known to be decisive, strategic and intentional, whilst still unassuming and unpretentious.
Described by his peers as a man of unwavering integrity, with electric energy and a keen sense of humour, he is also a devoted family man, with a deep commitment to the development of Jamaica’s youth.
During his tenure, Wehby repositioned GraceKennedy Limited as an international company with Jamaican roots.
His visionary approach was marked by a relentless and results-oriented drive for innovation and growth.
The PSOJ says under his stewardship, GraceKennedy’s revenue nearly tripled, from $58 billion in 2011 to $167 billion in 2024.
Wehby’s induction is slated for October 30, 2025 at PSOJ’s 31st Hall of Fame Banquet.
