Racing United thrashed Chapelton Maroons 3-0 in the Wray and Nephew/Jamaica Premier League at the Tony Spaulding Complex on Monday to move within a point of the crucial sixth spot.
Javaughn Cole, Nickyle Ellis and Tajay Grant were the scorers for the St. Catherine based Racing who are on 48 points, one behind Tivoli and Waterhouse.
However, Racing has two games in hand on both.
In the night’s other game Arnett Gardens and Tivoli played out a goalless draw.
Meanwhile, the Arnett Gardens goalkeeper Roje Williams was rushed to hospital after the game.
Williams, who joined the team from Vere United at the start of the season, was reportedly stabbed in the chest.
Williams remains in hospital.
