Red Force Beat Scorpions by Innings and 125 Runs at Sabina

The Jamaica Scorpions suffered a crushing innings and 125 run defeat to the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force inside three days of their seventh round regional four day encounter at Sabina Park.

Bryan Charles was the starman for the Red Force grabbing 13 wickets for 125 runs as the Scorpions forced to follow on 243 runs behind, were bowled out in their second innings for 118 runs.

Only openers Jeavughn Buchanan 33 and Carlos Brown 22 made any impression as Charles bagged 7 for 43 to go along with his 6 for 82 in the first innings.

The Scorpions were earlier dismissed for 189 in their first innings, replying to the Red Forces’ first innings 432 all out.

The Scorpions end the season with five defeats and two victories in their seven games.

Champions the Guyana Harpy Eagles were also winners, they beat Combined Campuses by 8 wickets at St. Augustine.

Set 181 to win the Harpy Eagles reached 182 for 2 thanks to Raymond Perez who topscored with 79, Tevin Imlach 50 and Tagernarine Chanderpaul 42.

At Coolidge Captain Kraigge Brathwaite fell ten runs short of a century as the Pride closed on 228 for 5 in their second innings a lead of 138 runs against West Indies Academy.
