RJR/Gleaner Announces Major Shake-up Among Senior Management Team

The media conglomerate, RJR Gleaner Group, has announced that a major shake-up is set to take place among its senior management team.

Radio Jamaica made the disclosure in a statement on Wednesday.

The changes will mark a significant shift in the leadership of Jamaica’s largest media conglomerate. 

According to Radio Jamaica, the positions of several members of the company’s senior management team will be impacted by changes made to the organisation’s structure.

Radio Jamaica says the group had previously announced that it’s in the process of defining a new target operating model.

It says the discussions being held are in line with the model’s direction.

Nationwide News understands that a new Chief Executive Officer has been recruited.

It’s understood the individual is an engineer by profession who was recruited from one of the country’s leading distribution companies.

The new CEO has been charged by the Board to make the tough, if unpopular decisions.

Nationwide News also understands that Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the group, Dr. Claire Grant, may be one those made redundant.

It’s understood the Chief People Officer, Tanya Smith, has also parted ways with the media powerhouse.
