Samuda Hails Strong Democracy in IOC Presidential Race

President of the Jamaica Olympic Association, JOA, Christopher Samuda, says news that seven candidates will vie for the post of president of the IOC is indication that democracy is thriving.

The candidates are World Athletics President Lord Coe, Spaniard Juan Antonio Samaranch, France’s David Lappartient, Zimbabwean Kirsty Coventry, Japan’s Morinari Watanabe, Swede Johan Eliasch and Prince Feisal al Hussein of Jordan.

Samuda says they are seven strong candidates.
