President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, PSOJ, Metry Seaga, says the new Caribbean Broilers plant provides a direct link to enhancing the country’s productivity and employment opportunities.
The CB group unveiled its processing plant in St Catherine on Wednesday.
The multi-billion dollar facility is the largest investment in Jamaica’s agriculture industry.
It seeks to boost the country’s poultry production both locally and regionally, thus reducing the reliance on chicken imports.
Mr. Seaga urged other sector players to embrace the advantages of technology and invest in innovative ideas to further boost productivity.
