The active trading ended with an advance/decline ratio of 41/46.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,659.59 points or 0.49 per cent to close at 343,316.77.
The JSE Main Market Index advanced by 2,050.06 points or 0.62 per cent to close at 330,803.46 while the Junior Market Index declined by 30.03 points or 0.79 per cent to close at 3,776.658.
The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 8.81 points or 3.32 per cent to close at 256.38.
