Swimmer Nolan Barrett Expresses Honour in Representing Jamaica

USA based swimmer, Nolan Barrett, says it was an honour to represent Jamaica at the recent Carifta Championships for the first time.

However, this is not the first time Barrett was wearing the Black, Gold and Green.

Barrett, who is a national record holder, competed at the CC-CAN, last year.

In the 13-14 boys category, Barret was the top points fielder making finals in most of his events and was featured in all four relays.

He won gold in the 100, 200 and the 400 metres Freestyle events.

Meanwhile, Kia Alert in the 11-12 girls category was the highest points performer for team Jamaica.

Alert earned gold in the 50-metres butterfly, gold in the 50-metres breaststroke, gold in the 100-metres freestyle, gold in both the 100-metres breaststroke and the 50-metres freestyle.

She also picked up silver in the 200-metres breaststroke, and silver in the 200-metres individual medley.

Team Jamaica came away placing fourth with combined score of 559 points securing 45 medals.
