T&T Red Force Continue to Dominate Scorpions in Regional Championships

The Trinidad & Tobago Red Force are continuing their dominance of the Jamaica Scorpions on day two of the regional four day encounter at Sabina Park.

The Scorpions were struggling on 159 for 9 at close, replying to 432 all out made by the Red Force.

West Indies player Kirk McKenzie has top scored so far with 57, while Jeavor Royal is not out on 33

Bryan Charles has so far taken 6 for 76 and Khary Pierre 2 for 32 as the Scorpions trail by 273.

Earlier the Red Force added 124 runs for their last three wickets after they resumed this morning on 308 for 7.

Terrance Hinds 79 and Pierre 43, guided the lower order against Royal 3 for 113 and two wickets each to Ojay Shields and captain Peat Salmon.

At Coolidge The West Indies Academy were slightly in control against the Barbados Pride.

The Pride closed day two on 109 for 3 in their second innings a lead of just 19 runs with captain Kraigge Brathwaite unbeaten on 49.

At Queens Park Oval, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes have taken full control against the Windward Islands Volcanoes.

The Hurricanes close day two on 111 for 2 in their second innings, a lead of 232….Daniel Doram bagged 6 for 34 as the Volcanoes were bowled out for 179 in response to the Hurricanes’ first innings 300 all out.

While at St. Augustine the Combined Campuses and Colleges lead the Guyana Harpy Eagles by 142 runs after closing the day on 165 for 7 batting a second time.

Shamar Brooks is not out 54, while Odaine McCatty made 56.
