The semifinal matches of the ISSA/JHF Under 19 High School Hockey Championships tournament is set for the Mona field, today.
In semifinal one, Immaculate Conception take on Wolmer’s Girls at 1 pm.
Immaculate Conception, crowned champions of the Under-19 League girls’ title after dominating the preliminary round, harbours a burning desire to clinch the elusive Championship.
Conversely, Wolmers, finishing fourth in the preliminary round, seek redemption, fuelled by their determination to avenge their previous defeat and upset the tournament favourites.
In the second semi-final, St. Andrew High play The Queens School at 2 pm.
One hour later, rivals Jamaica College and Kingston College will face off in the first boys’ semifinal.
Jamaica College, the defending champions, entered the match with a formidable record, finishing atop the standings after a dominant
performance in the preliminary matches.
However, Kingston College, the only undefeated boys’ school in the tournament, is determined to upset the reigning champions and prove
their mettle on the field.
In the final match of the day, Munro College lock horns with Denbigh High Boys.
