The United Independents’ Congress, UIC, says the long-standing dominance of Jamaica’s two major political parties does not serve the best interest of the people.
UIC candidate for the North East St. Ann by-election, Chase Neil, was a guest on Nationwide at Five on Wednesday, hours after being nominated.
On Wednesday, Nationwide News reported that Mr. Neil was initially unable to secure the support of the ten registered voters from the constituency required to complete his nomination. But he’s disputing the claim.
He explains that when he left the nomination centre, it was to retrieve the registration form from the individual who was previously selected to contest the by-election.
