Member of Parliament for West Portland, Daryl Vaz, says he’s considering whether to take legal action to compel Opposition Leader, Mark Golding to renounce his British citizenship.
He was speaking with Cliff Hughes and Chevon Campbell during Nationwide at Five on Tuesday.
A recent Bluedot poll found that 64 per cent of Jamaicans do not want a Prime Minister with dual citizenship.
The poll was conducted after Mr. Golding insisted he’d only relinquish his British citizenship if the Jamaican people said he should.
Mr. Vaz is vowing to keep up the pressure until Mr. Golding publicly declares his position.
