Verbal Abuse Discouraging Referee Application

Chairman of the referees and assessor committee, Patrick Malcolm, says there’s a chronic shortage of officials locally.

Malcolm says the short fall in referees has affected the hosting of games.

He says the verbal abuse experienced by officials at games is part of the reason why they are unable to attract persons to the field.
