The West Indies registered a resounding eight wicket win over Bangladesh at Warner Park in St. Kitts on Monday night, to take a 1-0 lead in their three match women’s T20 International series.
Bangladesh first made 144 for 3 off their 20 overs. Nigar Sultana Joty, 53, and Sharmin Akter, 37, led the batting.
The West Indies then replied with 145 for 2 in 16.2 overs.
Skipper, Hayley Matthews, compiled an unbeaten 60 and Deandra Dottin was 51 not out to lead the victory charge.
The second game is scheduled for Wednesday at the same venue.
