The West Indies Women suffered a 10-wicket defeat against South Africa in their opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup in Dubai, on Friday.
Sent in to bat first, the Caribbean women made a below par 119 for 6 off their 20 overs.
Stafanie Taylor, 44 not out, was the only batter to put up any resistance against Nonkululeko Mlaba, 4 for 29, and Marizanne Kapp, 2 for 14.
Chasing 120 to win, South Africa reached the target with 13 balls to spare.
Captain Laura Wolvaardt made an unbeaten 59, while Tazmin Brits finished on 57 not out.
