There were three Jamaican winners at the Bermuda Grand Prix meet in Hamilton on Sunday.
Stacy-Ann Williams captured the women’s 400 metres in 51.71 seconds. Compatriot Junelle Bromfield was fifth in 54 seconds and another Jamaican, Rushell Clayton sixth in 54.59 seconds.
Williams says though the wind prevented her running a much better time, she’s satisfied with where she is at this point.
Shian Salmon took the 400 metres hurdles in 56.59 seconds, ahead of the American Cassandra Tate 57.04.
Jaydon Hibbert easily won the men’s triple jump title with 17.33 meters.
Demish Gaye was third in the 400 metres in 47.15 seconds as Grenada’s former World and Olympic champion Kirani James won in 46 seconds.
Chanice Porter took second in the women’s long jump with 6.62 meters. Monae Nichols of the United States won with 6.91 meters.
World champion Noah Lyles won the 100 metres in a wind aided 9.96 seconds with Jamaica’s Kadrian Goldson sixth in 10.16 seconds.
Lyles said he was happy with the outing.
