Minister with responsibility for works, Robert Morgan, has rejected claims by member of parliament for South West St. Andrew Dr. Angela Brown-Burke that partisan politics has contributed to the delay in repairs being done to Oakland Crescent roadway in the constituency.
Dr. Brown-Burke suggested that the politicisation of the government’s SPARK Programme was to blame for the lack of work on the road.
This in the wake of a video posted on social media showing motorists having to use the sidewalk to navigate Oakland Crescent.
But speaking on Nationwide at Five last Friday, Minister Morgan says Dr. Brown Burke is misguided.
Minister Morgan says the road is the responsibility of the People’s National Party-led Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation.
