XLCR High On Course for Four Schoolboy Cricket Titles

Excelsior High School remains on course for four schoolboy cricket titles after beating Kingston College by 76 runs on Monday to lift the ISSA/First Global Bank Schoolboys T20 Cricket Urban Area crown.

Batting first, Excelsior, led by a half century from Justin Adlam made 191 for 5 off their 20 overs.

Adlam’s 57 came off 30 balls and included five fours and three sixes. He got support from Geovanni Grey and Jamare Daley 24.

Chadrick Wallace and Jhaylan Thomas took two wickets each.

In reply, KC were bowled out for 115 inside 19 overs. Kev Virgo made 71 and Antowne Virgo, 20.

Demarco Scott took three wickets for 14 runs and Nicoli Mckenzie, 3 for 24.

Adlam credits the middle order batters for the win.

Excelsior will now turn their attention to the ISSA Super8 T20 competition.

In the Super8s, the top four Rural Area teams will go up against the top four Urban Area teams for all-island supremacy.
