In the wake of his resignation as CEO of National Commercial Bank Jamaica, Septimus ‘Bob’ Blake has given up his position as president of the Jamaica Bankers Association.
Blake exited NCB in a period when the group is in flux, with multiple personnel changes that come in the wake of leadership upheavals at parent company NCB Financial Group.
Blake tendered his resignation to the banking lobby on September 29.
He was replaced days later by Scotia Group President & CEO Audrey Tugwell Henry, whose selection happened on October 4 at an extraordinary general meeting. Jamaica has eight commercial banks, one merchant bank, and one mortgage bank. NCB and Scotia are the two largest banking groups, ranked as No. 1 and No. 2 in the banking sector, respectively.
President & CEO of First Global Bank Limited Radcliffe Daley was also elected as vice-president at the meeting.
Citi Country Officer and Head of Bank for Citibank NA in Jamaica, Eva Lewis, and Managing Director of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank Jamaica Limited Nigel Holness retain their respective roles as treasurer and secretary, the JBA said.
