Over 11,500 athletes from 45 schools will descend on the National Stadium for the three-day JISA Prep Championships powered by GK General Insurance and GK Mutual Funds, starting on Thursday.
Sponsor GK General Insurance has pump $4 million into the 47th staging of the meet.
The days will feature 37 events in three classes, contested by athletes between the ages 6 to 17 competing for the national title.
Individual athletes will also compete for the coveted title of Champion Boy and Champion Girl.
General Manager of GK General Insurance, Chaluk Richards, says the meet is one of the incubators for the country’s world beaters.
