Earlier, the Windies were bowled out for 282, with captain Kraigg Brathwaite and Jason Holder making a half century each.
Brathwaite made 61 off 86-balls including 8-fours, while Holder made 59 including 7 boundaries.
Gus Atkinson took 4 for 67 and Chris Woakes bagged 3-wickets.
Holder says the Caribbean batsmen could have put more runs on the board.
